Nabarangpur, 31st July 2025:– The deadline for beneficiaries who haven’t completed their e-KYC despite possessing ration cards has been extended by three months, announced Food Supplies & Consumer Welfare Minister Krushna Chandra Patra during his visit to Nabarangpur.
He stated that if the required information is not submitted within the extended timeframe, old cards will be declared void, and new beneficiaries will be selected in their place.
The Minister emphasized that the Mohan Government is committed to fulfilling pre-election promises, such as:
- Rs 10,000 annually under the Subhadra Scheme for women
- Opening of all four gates of Srikshetra (Jagannath Temple)
- Increasing the Minimum Support Price (MSP) for paddy to Rs 2,300 per quintal
- Providing an additional bonus of ₹800 per quintal
Last year, paddy procurement in the state was at 58 lakh metric tonnes (MT) at Rs 2,100 MSP. Under the BJP government, 73.47 lakh MT of paddy was procured last Kharif season.
In Nabarangpur district alone, procurement reached 3.5 lakh MT. Farmers received:
Rs 574 crore under MSP
Rs 200 crore as input assistance
Total support: Rs 774 crore
In the Rabi season, 7,000 MT of paddy was procured from 985 farmers, who were paid:
Rs 16 crore in MSP
Rs 6 crore in input assistance
There are 3.66 lakh ration card holders in the district. The Minister encouraged eligible but card-less poor citizens to apply again via the online portal.

No farmer will be excluded
Even if land is in the name of the father or grandfather, farmers can register by submitting a self-declaration form
All Raighar farmers have received their SSP (Special Support Price) payments
On Sunday, the Minister will distribute bonus money to Raighar farmers.
The LAMPs branch manager at Raighar was held responsible by the Minister for previous delays and errors in payment.
