Jharsuguda: June 5:A district-level “Mahasamadhan” public grievance hearing camp was organized by the district administration at the DMF Auditorium located within the District Collector’s office premises. The camp was held to ensure simple and efficient resolution of public grievances.

A total of 97 complaints were registered during the camp, out of which 59 were individual grievances and 38 were collective complaints. Each application was reviewed seriously, and departmental officials were directed to immediately address several complex issues.

The camp was attended by Additional District Magistrate (General Administration) Braja Bandhu Bhoi, Additional District Magistrate (Revenue) Lalit Soreng, the Superintendent of Police, Chief Development Officer and Executive Officer of the Zilla Parishad Bishwaranjan Nayak, Sub-Collector Sabyasachi Panda, the Assistant District Magistrate of the Grievance Cell, and district-level officials from various government departments. They directly heard the grievances of the public.

Major complaints raised during the camp included problems related to drainage systems in local areas, construction of new roads, and removal of illegal encroachments on roads. Apart from this, beneficiaries submitted applications regarding land disputes, land identification and boundary demarcation, drinking water supply, and inclusion under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana (PMAY).

Additionally, complaints were also lodged against illegal tree cutting in connection with environmental protection concerns.
The Additional District Magistrate advised the officials to resolve all these issues within a stipulated timeframe and ensure justice to the people.
