Six Trains to Bypass Jeypore Amid Safety Infrastructure Upgrades

Jeypore, : Modernization work related to safety is underway on the Kotavalasa-Kirandul section of the Waltair Division under East Coast Railway. Due to this, restrictions have been imposed on the movement of six passenger trains, including the Hirakhand, Samaleswari, and Rourkela Express. From May 25 to June 9, these trains will not reach Jeypore and will instead terminate at Koraput before returning.

Trains to Operate Only Up to Koraput:

As per the division’s official information, the following changes will apply:

On May 26, June 2, and June 9, Train No. 58501 Visakhapatnam-Kirandul Passenger, which usually passes through Jeypore, will operate only up to Koraput. Its return service, 58502 Kirandul-Visakhapatnam Passenger, will depart from Koraput towards Visakhapatnam on those days.

On May 25, June 1, and June 8, Train No. 18447 Bhubaneswar-Jagdalpur Hirakhand Express will run from Bhubaneswar up to Koraput only. It will not go to Jagdalpur via Jeypore. In the return direction (on May 26, June 2, and June 9), Train No
