Bhubaneswar: The southwest monsoon has reached Kerala 8 days earlier than the usual date. Meanwhile, Odisha is experiencing pre-monsoon showers with cloudy skies all around—drizzling in some places, while moderate to heavy rain is occurring in others.
►► Low Pressure on 27th, Rain Expected on 28th-29th
It is predicted that, like in Kerala, the monsoon will arrive early in Odisha as well. It may touch Odisha about two weeks ahead of the normal schedule, likely by the end of this month. The low-pressure system expected to form over the northwest Bay of Bengal could help pull the monsoon into the state.
