Nabarangpur:July 6 {UDN}: As part of the fourth day of the ‘Bikashara Dhara, Odisha Sara’ outreach programme, a block-level “Self-Reliant Youth, Prosperous Odisha Conclave” was organized at the Nabarangpur Police Ground. The event focused on promoting youth empowerment, entrepreneurship, and employment opportunities under various government initiatives.
The programme was attended by Chief Development Officer-cum-Executive Officer of Zilla Parishad, Biranchi Narayan Darwan, as the chief guest. Other dignitaries included District Coordinator (Self-Reliant Youth) Shatabdika Palo, Block Coordinator Dular Nayak, Nabarangpur BDO Sunil Khara, the District Employment Officer, Assistant Industries Officer, Industries Promotion Officer, and officials from various government departments.
Addressing the gathering, the District Employment Officer highlighted the objectives of the conclave and informed participants about government schemes, skill development programmes, and employment opportunities available for young people. The Assistant Industries Officer elaborated on opportunities for entrepreneurship, self-employment, and business establishment in the Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises (MSME) sector.
During the event, the chief guest felicitated the best-performing blocks under the ‘Bikashita Gaon, Bikashita Odisha’ (BGBO) programme for 2024–25 and 2025–26, as well as the Rural Housing Scheme 2025–26. Umarkote Block secured first place in BGBO 2024–25, while Nabarangpur Block topped the rankings for BGBO 2025–26. Kosagumuda Block was recognized as the best performer under the Rural Housing Scheme 2025–26. Debasmita, Programme Manager of the Rural Housing Scheme, was also honoured for her outstanding performance in the Zilla Parishad.
The programme concluded with a vote of thanks by BDO Sunil Khara, who expressed gratitude to the guests, officials, and participants for contributing to the successful organization of the event.
