Nabarangpur, July 6 {UDN}:  The quarterly joint inspection of the Electronic Voting Machine (EVM) and Voter Verifiable Paper Audit Trail (VVPAT) warehouse was successfully conducted in Nabarangpur district in the presence of Odisha’s Chief Electoral Officer, A. S. Gopalan. He personally supervised the inspection process to ensure compliance with election security protocols.
During the inspection, officials thoroughly verified the warehouse seals, security arrangements, CCTV surveillance, and the overall functionality of the storage facility. Representatives of recognized political parties were present throughout the inspection, and the entire process was video recorded to maintain transparency.

The Chief Electoral Officer also reviewed the progress of the district’s Special Summary Revision of the electoral rolls. Officials informed him that nearly 92% of the digitization work has been completed in the district, reflecting significant progress in the voter database modernization.

The inspection was attended by representatives of major political parties, including Pramod Rath (BJD), Saroj Kumar Behera (BJP), Dr. Lipika Majhi and Pradeep Kumar Sahu (Congress), along with former district president Muna Tripathy. Senior district officials, including District Election Officer Dr. Maheswar Swain, Additional District Magistrates Dr. Pramod Kumar Prusti and Biswajit Chandra Barman, Chief Development Officer Biranchi Narayan Darwan, Sub-Collector Prakash Chandra Mishra, Deputy Collector Chinmaya Kumar Sahu, and Sub-Divisional Information & Public Relations Officer Satya Narayan Pradhan, were also present during the inspection.
