Bhubaneswar, July 6 {UDN}:  Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi inaugurated the 14th Multi-Agency Maritime Security Group (Policy) Meeting in Bhubaneswar, marking the first time the prestigious national forum has been held outside New Delhi.. 

Addressing senior officials and security stakeholders, the Chief Minister highlighted the vital role of maritime security in safeguarding India’s coastline, strengthening national security, and supporting economic growth through safe and secure sea routes.

He emphasized that Odisha, with its long coastline and strategic maritime infrastructure, is committed to enhancing coastal surveillance, disaster preparedness, and inter-agency coordination. The meeting brings together representatives from various central and state agencies to discuss policy measures, emerging maritime challenges, and strategies for strengthening India’s coastal and maritime security framework.
