Papadahandi: A fire broke out today around 8 AM in the Patra Sar shop located in Papadahandi Sadar. The fire destroyed property worth lakhs, including various types of insecticides, plastic drums used for pesticide spraying, and other shop items. The shop owner initially noticed the fire when he attempted to open the shop shutters, and saw that the shop was engulfed in flames. He immediately alerted the Papadahandi Fire Department. Firefighters arrived quickly at the scene and attempted to contain the fire. Due to the heavy smoke inside the shop, it was difficult for the team to access the interior. They immediately called for additional help from the Nabarangpur Fire Department, which arrived with various equipment and worked for more than 2 hours to control the fire.
The local residents and business owners assisted the fire department in extinguishing the flames. The actual cause of the fire has not been confirmed yet, but it is speculated to have been caused by a short circuit.
