Dr. Deepthimayee Sahu Awarded Ph.D. in Odia Literature by Rama Devi Women’s University

Bhubaneswar:  Dr. Deepthimayee Sahu, a faculty member of the Department of Odia Language and Literature at Sri Satyasai Women’s College in Bhubaneswar, has been awarded a Ph.D. in Odia Literature by Rama Devi Women’s University. Her research work was conducted under the supervision of Dr. Chitranjan Panda, a professor at the Department of Odia Literature, Fakir Mohan University, Balasore.

Her research thesis titled “Feminism in Gaurahari Das’s Novels” was examined by Prof. Krishna Chandra Pradhan, Head of the Odia Department at Fakir Mohan University, and Dr. Suresh Chandra Das, an esteemed scholar. The research has been highly praised for its depth and relevance.

Dr. Deepthimayee is the daughter of the late Sabitri Sahu and the late Phali Sahu from the Gangutia village in the Anugul block. She hails from a family of social workers and literary figures, including her uncle, the renowned literary critic Saroj Biswal. Dr. Deepthimayee has written several critical essays and literary works, earning widespread recognition.

She dedicates this achievement to God, her teachers, and her family for their unwavering support throughout her academic journey.
