Ice Cream Cart Crashes Into Tree, Leaving Three Seriously Injured

Jharigam– In a tragic accident near Dhanpur village, an ice cream cart lost control and crashed into a tree on the side of the road, injuring three people, including the driver. According to reports, two individuals from Banagaon village in the Uttar Chabishiparagana district of Kolkata, Subhankar Haldar (24) and Raju Biswas (28), had come to Jharigam for the purpose of selling ice cream. After the completion of the Thakurani Yatra in Jharigam, they decided to go to the Barashundi Mela in Raighar block for business.

Around 3 PM today, while driving a pickup van (registration number D-218C 3667), the driver Mukesh Galdar (22) from Barashundi was accompanied by Subhankar and Raju. On their way, near Dhanpur village, which is located on the main road between Jharigam and Umarkot, the vehicle lost control and crashed into a tree. As a result, all three individuals were trapped inside the vehicle.

Following the accident, the Jharigam police, along with the local people, rescued the victims and transported them to the Jharigam health center using an ambulance. However, driver Mukesh and Subhankar were later referred to the Nabarangpur district hospital for advanced treatment.

Meanwhile, Pradeep Kumar Shabar, the Jharigam Police Sub-Inspector, along with his team, arrived at the accident site, seized the vehicle, and initiated an investigation into the matter.
