Belaguntha: A grand inauguration ceremony of the Shyam Sundar Temple has been held at Usupalli village under Enginathi Panchayat of Belaguntha block. Under the priesthood of Mahanta from Athagarh Patana, the rituals of “Ankuraropan” (sacred sowing ceremony) and “Sala Pratistha” (foundation establishment) were completed today. On this occasion, starting from Monday, a 24-hour continuous chanting ceremony (Akhanda Namayajna), Ghee Yajna (fire sacrifice with ghee), and Anna Yajna (food offering ceremony) will be conducted in the village.
Under the priesthood of the Madhabarida Matha Mahanta,
devotional singing groups (Sankirtan teams) from Usupalli, Jamapalli, Bhushandapal, Gudi Palli, and Kandarasinha villages will participate in this Akhanda Namayajna. All the villagers are cooperating actively in organizing the event.
Today, a large number of people from neighboring areas have gathered to witness the temple inauguration, and a significant crowd is also expected during the chanting ceremony. To manage the crowd, arrangements for drinking water, road cleaning, and lighting have been made by the villagers.
