Papadahandi: The land identification process for the construction of a bus stand in Papadahandi, Nabarangpur district, was completed on Tuesday. It has been decided to construct the bus stand at the Champa forest area near the Bus Stand Square. A new bus stand will be built on 2 hectares of land with an estimated cost of 10 crore rupees.
Local Tehsildar Tapan Kumar Nayak, Block Vice-Chairman Sushant Kumar Behera, Ranger, Forester Gobinda Nayak, and the DTM (District Transport Manager) were present during the process.
For a long time, Papadahandi did not have a permanent bus stand. Currently, buses are operating from the roadside at a four-way junction. There had been continuous demands for a permanent bus stand. However, due to delays in the land identification process, the construction couldn’t begin. After the forest department showed the designated land, the path for construction of the bus stand has now become clear.
