Malkangiri, June 5: The Summer Sports Camp 2026 was celebrated with great enthusiasm at the Mini Stadium located in Sukma district headquarters of Chhattisgarh.
Sukma Superintendent of Police, Kiran Chauhan, attended the event as the chief guest and wished all the young athletes a bright future. He also encouraged them to bring pride to the state and the nation through their achievements in sports.

The summer camp was organized jointly by the district administration and the Department of Sports and Youth Welfare. During the camp, karate training was provided to students of Sukma district by karate coach Basanta Kumar Jena from Malkangiri district of Odisha.

Similarly, trainers from different parts of Chhattisgarh conducted coaching sessions in various sports and activities:

Ram Narayan Mishra taught Yoga,
Coach Ravindra Singh Thakur provided Football training,
Mukesh Kashyap trained students in Badminton,
Yogita Nayak coached Hockey, and
Ashutosh Singh conducted Cricket training.
District Sports Officer Birupaksha Puranik efficiently coordinated and managed the concluding ceremony of the summer sports camp.
On this occasion, students who had received karate training presented impressive karate demonstrations. Later, Sukma SP Kiran Chauhan presented mementos to all the sports trainers as a token of encouragement and appreciation.
The guests also distributed certificates to the students who had received training in various sports, following which the Summer Sports Camp concluding ceremony came to an end successfully.
