Phulbani : Due to the strong action taken by Tahsildar Priyanka Priyadarshini, unauthorized shops that had been encroaching on government land for years near the DRDA Square on the main road in Phulbani town have finally been evicted. These shops had not only been operating illegally but were also rented out for commercial purposes.
Although there had been complaints in the past regarding the encroachment, no action had been taken until now. It has now been reported that the land will be used for constructing residential quarters for government employees.
Interestingly, the businessman involved had already been allotted a shop by the municipality to carry out his trade, but instead, he rented it out at a higher price and illegally occupied government land in front of it. The general public has appreciated the bold step taken by the current female Tahsildar, Priyanka Priyadarshini.
