Koraput, Sept 28 [UDN}: Koraput hosted a state-level programme marking International Literacy Day, highlighting the importance of education, literacy and inclusive learning in strengthening society and creating better opportunities for all.
Speaking at the programme held at the Koraput Medical College Auditorium, Koraput Collector Manoj Satyawan Mahajan shared his views on the development of education and the expansion of literacy across the state.
The Collector underlined the vital role of education in social and economic development and stressed the need to ensure that the benefits of education reach every section of society. He also spoke about the goals and priorities for the coming years, with emphasis on strengthening literacy, improving access to education and encouraging greater participation in learning.
The state-level event brought together officials, educationists, teachers, students and other stakeholders to discuss the importance of literacy and the future direction of educational development.
The programme also highlighted the need for collective efforts by government institutions, educators and communities to build a more educated, empowered and inclusive society.
