Jeypatan: A school bus overturned again, injuring some students. The incident took place near Paikakendumundi, under Jeypatan police station, in the Kalahandi district. As the bus overturned, eight students were slightly injured. After the accident, local residents rescued the students, and six of them were reported to be injured. The accident occurred due to reckless driving by the bus driver.
The incident happened in the morning when the bus, belonging to Venkateshwar English Medium School in Mukhduda, was on its way to the school with students. This incident has raised concerns among parents about the safety of school buses. There are allegations regarding the poor condition of school buses due to lack of proper maintenance and supervision. The District Transport Department has been urged to take necessary action.
