Online Applications for High School Recognition to Open June 20

Cuttack:  Online applications for recognition or renewal of recognition for high schools in Odisha for the academic years 2024–25 and 2025–26 will begin from June 20. The application window will remain open until July 20. A notification regarding this has been issued by the Board of Secondary Education (BSE), Odisha.

From June 20 onwards, the online application form for new or renewed recognition will be available on the Board’s website: www.bseodisha.ac.in.

High schools that received recognition for Class 8 from the Director of Secondary Education before 2013 can now apply for Class 9 and 10 recognition for the years 2024–25 and 2025–26.

Similarly, schools that were granted Class 9 recognition by the State Government’s High-Level Committee for the years 2023–24 and 2024–25 can now apply for Class 10 recognition for 2024–25 and 2025–26.

High schools that received new recognition in 2023–24 must apply for a one-time renewal for the years 2024–25 and 2025–26.

Also, schools that apply for renewal annually must submit a one-time renewal application for the upcoming two academic years.

High schools that received new recognition in 2024–25 must apply for renewal for 2025–26.

Government high schools are exempted from applying for recognition.

Renewal application fee: ₹4,000

New recognition application fee: ₹6,000

Schools must submit the online application form to the District Education Officer (DEO), who will verify the applications and forward them to the Deputy Secretary of the BSE Regional Office by August 1 or earlier.

The Deputy Secretary must then submit the applications to the BSE headquarters by August 12 or earlier, as per the Board’s instructions.
