Kendujhar, April. 30: On the occasion of Madhubabu Jayanti, the Chief Minister visited Kendujhar and laid the foundation stone for a 400/220 kV grid substation. More than 7 lakh consumers will receive uninterrupted electricity supply.
By 2036, another 34 new grid substations will be constructed across the state. In particular, plans have been prepared to build the first 765 kV grid substations in Bhubaneswar, Jajpur, Jharsuguda, and Gajapati.
OPTCL will introduce a “hotline maintenance” system, which will allow repair and maintenance of power lines without disconnecting electricity.
Similarly, a new State Load Despatch Centre (SLDC) at Mancheswar will further make power management smarter and more efficient.
