Delh,iAug 5 [UDN}:  The Central Government has introduced extensive changes to make the NEET PG 2026 examination more transparent, secure, and candidate-friendly.

The exam will be conducted in a single computer-based session on August 30, 2026 (Sunday) from 9:00 AM to 12:30 PM.
Candidates will be allowed to enter examination centres from 7:00 AM, while the entry gates will close at 8:30 AM.
Union Health Minister Jagat Prakash Nadda reviewed the preparedness of the National Board of Examinations in Medical Sciences (NBEMS), technology partners, and other stakeholders, directing them to ensure a smooth, secure, and transparent examination process.
A total of 273,183 candidates have registered for NEET PG 2026, an increase of over 12.5% compared to last year.
The examination will be conducted across more than 1,300 centres in around 340 cities nationwide.
More than 60,000 personnel will be deployed to manage and secure the examination process.
