Nabarangpur,Oct 6 [UDN}:: Physical Education Teacher Purabi Parida of Nabarangpur district has been selected to receive the prestigious Chief Minister’s Education Award this year in recognition of her outstanding contribution and performance in the field of physical education.
Purabi Parida is currently serving as a Physical Education Teacher at the PM SHRI Nodal Raja Chaitanya Dev Government High School in Nabarangpur. She has been recognised for her dedicated work in promoting sports and nurturing sporting talent among school students across the district.
During her teaching career, Purabi has trained and guided numerous boys and girls in different sporting disciplines. Under her coaching and mentorship, several students from the district have achieved success in state- and national-level competitions, bringing recognition to their schools as well as Nabarangpur district.
Her contribution has also extended beyond school-level activities, with Purabi herself demonstrating her sporting expertise at the national level as part of the state team, according to the report.
Purabi Parida will be formally honoured by Odisha Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi at a special award ceremony scheduled to be held on October 8 at Lok Seva Bhavan in Bhubaneswar.
Her selection has been welcomed by District Education Officer Chhatrapati Sahu, office-bearers of the Nabarangpur District Physical Education Teachers’ Association, fellow teachers and well-wishers, who congratulated her on the achievement and appreciated her contribution towards developing sports and young sporting talent in the district.
