Headmasters’ Conference Held in Malkangiri Focuses on Academic Excellence

Malkangiri, April 28: A one-day important conference of headmasters of all secondary schools in the district was held today at the District Culture Bhavan, Malkangiri.
The meeting was organized under the chief guestship of District Collector Prathamesh Arvind Rajeshirke. Detailed discussions were held on improving the standard of education and achieving better results in the upcoming board examinations. The conference was presided over by District Education Officer Chittaranjan Panigrahi.
On this occasion, Additional District Magistrate Somanath Pradhan, CDMO Dr. Dolamani Pradhan, ITDA Project Administrator Haldhar Sabar, and District Welfare Officer Srinibas Achari, along with other officials, were present.
During the meeting, the District Collector emphasized that headmasters are the chief executives of schools, and it is through their leadership that improvements in the district’s education system can be achieved. He assured that the administration would always extend support in resolving teachers’ issues.
Key focus areas discussed in the conference included:
Giving more importance to science education
Promoting mother tongue-based education
Regular health check-ups for students
Addressing hostel-related issues
Proper management of school records
Around 150 headmasters from 7 blocks of the district participated in the program.
At the end, District Science Inspector Jagannath Prasad Behera delivered the vote of thanks. It was also informed that the progress of decisions taken in the conference will be reviewed on a monthly basis.
