Bhubaneswar, May 30: A field visit was conducted to assess the potential for tourism development activities at the Badanala (Kenduguda) Reservoir.
During the visit, discussions were held with the Tourism Department regarding the development of tourist facilities and the necessary infrastructure required to promote the site as an attractive tourist destination.
The possibilities for eco-tourism, visitor amenities, and sustainable development around the reservoir area were also reviewed.
The District Collector, along with the Sub-Collector of Gunupur, the BDO of Padmapur, and officials from the Forest and Water Resources Departments, were present during the inspection.
The visit focused on exploring opportunities to enhance the natural beauty of the reservoir area while ensuring environmentally responsible tourism development. Efforts are being planned to improve connectivity, basic amenities, and visitor experience to attract more tourists in the future.
