HK Desk 4th February 2025 The District Legal Services Authority (DLSA), Nabarangpur, organized a Legal Awareness Camp on 30th January 2025 at Bhatishalguda Shakti Sadan to educate the transgender community about various welfare schemes and rights formulated by the central and state governments.
The program was conducted under the guidance of Subrata Mohanty, District Judge and Chairman of DLSA, Nabarangpur. The camp featured Mrs. Sai Abhiska Gochayat, Secretary of DLSA, Nabarangpur, as the chief guest. She discussed the Odisha High Court’s 2020 guidelines on video conferencing for courts, communication technology facilities available for the transgender community, and Civil Procedure Mediation Rules, 2007, emphasizing their rights and legal support mechanisms. She also highlighted the Odisha High Court’s provisions for education through accessible language mediums during the session.

This Legal Awareness Camp was successfully planned and executed by the District Legal Services Authority, Nabarangpur, with the aim of empowering the transgender community by providing essential legal knowledge and resources.
