Bhubaneswar Even though the results of the Class 10 and Class 12 board exams have not yet been announced, the admission process for Diploma courses has already begun. Admissions for both government and private diploma institutions in the state will be conducted simultaneously. Students interested in Diploma and Post-Diploma programs can apply online through the SAMS portal.
For the 2025-26 academic year, admissions will be conducted for 72,938 seats across 160 institutions in the state. The application process will start from April 1 and continue until April 30.
The minimum age requirement for the Diploma program is 14 years, and for Lateral Entry courses, it is 16 years as of August 1. There is no upper age limit. The minimum educational qualification for various engineering and non-engineering diploma courses is a pass in Class 10 or Class 12.
Students can apply through the SAMS portal (www.samsodisha.gov.in) or the DTET Odisha website (www.dtetodisha.gov.in). After the results of the Class 10, Class 12, and Diploma/Degree Engineering exams are announced, applicants will be able to upload their marks and required documents on the SAMS portal.
