DGP Felicitates 68 Police Officers and Lawyers for Outstanding Service and Contributions

Cuttack: April. 24:A special felicitation ceremony was organized by the Odisha Police to recognize the successful implementation of new laws in the state and significant achievements in conviction rates. The event was held at the R.K. Padhi Memorial Hall at the police headquarters in Cuttack.
The Director General of Police, Y. B. Khurania, attended as the chief guest and honored 68 police officers and government lawyers.

15 Supervisory Officers
17 Government Lawyers
26 Investigating Police Officers
These officers were specially awarded for their outstanding investigation work in 27 sensitive cases between July 1, 2024, and December 31, 2025, where the accused received imprisonment of more than 7 years.

2 gang rape cases

On this occasion, DGP Khurania awarded cash incentives of ₹5,000 to investigating officers and presented appreciation certificates to SPs, supervisory officers, and government lawyers to encourage their efforts.
Senior officials including Binaytosh Mishra (DGP, Crime Branch), Dr. Sarthak Sarangi (IG), and many other senior police officers were also present at the event.
