HK Desk 4th February 2025 Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi conducted his eighth grievance hearing today listening to the concerns and problems of the people. Out of 1000 complaints received, he addressed 700 and directed various departments to take necessary action. He also appealed to the public to submit their grievances to the district collector’s office instead of traveling to Bhubaneswar, as it would save them money and effort.
7-Year-Old Girl’s Struggle
Heramba Giri from Boudh district arrived at the grievance hearing with his 7-year-old daughter, Pratyusha Giri, who suffers from a rare and severe skin condition called Xeroderma. The treatment for this disease is highly expensive. On December 30, Pratyusha had previously met the Chief Minister, who immediately arranged for her treatment at Capital Hospital and later at SCB Medical College in Cuttack. After a month of treatment, she returned today to seek further assistance.
Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi approved financial aid of ₹5 lakh from the Chief Minister’s Relief Fund (CMRF) for her continued treatment. Additionally, he assured that the family would receive a house under the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana.
The Chief Minister stated, “People come to us with hopes and expectations, and we will not let them down. We take every grievance seriously and ensure appropriate action. There is no need to travel to Bhubaneswar for complaints—first, approach the district collector’s grievance cell, where most issues are resolved. Only complex cases should be forwarded to the Chief Minister’s grievance cell.”
