Bhubaneswar, April. 27: A meeting was held between the Revenue Minister, the Revenue Secretary, and census officials to address the issues faced by officials during the census process. Considering the ongoing heatwave, it has been decided that census work will not be carried out between 11 AM and 3 PM.
District Collectors have been instructed to suspend census operations during this period. They have also been directed to monitor and ensure the basic needs of personnel engaged in census duties.
Discussions have also been held with the Home Department regarding the safety of census officials, and necessary security arrangements will be provided to ensure their protection.
