Malkangiri, June 5:: Personnel of the 901 BSF Battalion organized a cleanliness and beautification drive today at the sacred religious site Sitakund in Mudulipada under Khairput block of Malkangiri district.
The objective of the campaign was to promote environmental awareness and community participation, while also improving the cleanliness and beauty of the site.
BSF personnel, along with local villagers, actively participated in voluntary labor during the drive. They cleaned the surrounding area, removed excessive bushes and vegetation, and cleared garbage and waste from the pond and nearby places.
Those present at the programme included Ravindra Pal Singh Negi, Second-in-Commandant; Sukra Muduli, Ward Member of Mudulipada village; Sukra Dhangadamajhi, priest of Sitakund; village representatives, members of the village committee, and local residents.
Around 200 participants, including BSF personnel, children, and villagers, took part in the initiative.
