Chandrasekharpur to Host State’s Largest Conference Hall Soon

Chandrasekharpur: A state-of-the-art conference hall, the largest in the state, will be built in Chandrasekharpur. It will have the capacity to accommodate around 10,000 people at once, with modern amenities, and a special hall for 4,000 people. Additionally, there will be more than six smaller conference halls. This project, which will be built on 18 acres of land under the Public-Private Partnership (PPP) mode, has been approved by the Odisha Bridge Construction Corporation (OBCC), and the Request for Proposal (RFP) has been issued for the selection of a transaction advisor.

The project site, near the old Om Fed production center, is in proximity to government land and will be a world-class facility. The construction of this conference hall is expected to play a significant role in the state’s economic, commercial, tourism, and cultural sectors. It will also be capable of hosting national and international events.

A notable feature of the project is the construction of three star-rated hotels near the conference hall, which will also be developed under the PPP model. The state government will provide the land free of cost. This will benefit the visitors attending the conference, as they will have easy access to high-quality accommodation.

The conference hall will have a 4,000-seat plenary hall on the first floor, along with additional halls with 1,200 and 1,000 seats. The project will also include small business centers and meeting rooms. Furthermore, there will be indoor exhibition halls with a space of 50,000 square feet and outdoor exhibition facilities for 25,000 to 30,000 people.

Facilities will also include internal roads, parking spaces for delegates and officials, security, air-conditioning, landscaping, and other essential services. The OBCC will prepare a project report based on the selection of the transaction advisor, and the final tendering process will proceed accordingly.
