Rayagada, Jan, 03:  The second World Meditation Day, carrying the message “Collective transformation through individual transformation,” was observed at the premises of Rayagada Autonomous College. The programme was inaugurated by the Principal, Dr. Saraswati Ray, along with the chief guest, Ranjan Sahu, Principal of Maharshi Vidya Mandir.

The guests explained the importance and usefulness of meditation and advised everyone to make meditation a regular practice in their daily lives. Dr. Saraswati Ray, who is also an Art of Living instructor, guided the participants through various yogic postures and conducted the Panchakosha meditation as prescribed by Gurudev.
The programme was coordinated by Lecturer M. Srinivas Achari. Among those present were Lieutenant Uday Nayak, Subrat Pradhan, Bhavesh Mahanti, Priyadarshini Bal, P. Arun Kumar, Ajay Raita, Monalisa Panigrahi, P. Shankar, Hemanta Swain, Anita Manoj Pattnaik, and Manmatha Toika.

A large number of students, lecturers, and faculty members participated enthusiastically in the programme.
