Bhubaneswar: In the coming days, wheat will be provided to the people of the state through ration cards as before. In response to a question on this matter, Food Supplies and Consumer Welfare Minister Krushna Chandra Patra provided a written reply in the Assembly.
Patangi’s Congress MLA Ram Chandra Kadam wanted to know whether the current government would make arrangements to distribute wheat through ration cards again, as the previous government had stopped distributing wheat to the poor, laborers, and malnourished individuals. He also asked if the distribution would resume, when exactly it would take place.
