Bhubaneswar,  Oct 5 [UDN}:A weekly review meeting was held virtually under the chairmanship of the Commissioner-cum-Secretary of the Panchayati Raj and Drinking Water Department, with the Chief Development Officers-cum-Executive Officers (CDO-cum-EOs) of various Zilla Parishads participating in the meeting.

The meeting reviewed several key development and rural governance priorities, including assessment and reporting of flood damages and restoration works, entry of Village Resource Projects, generation of person-days under VB-G RAM G, implementation of the Model Village Mission, completion of houses under PM-JANMAN, and finalisation of the beneficiary list under PMAY-G.

The department stressed the need to ensure that the benefits of government development programmes reach eligible families and communities at the grassroots level. District authorities were directed to accelerate implementation of various schemes, submit reports within stipulated timelines and complete assigned works within the prescribed deadlines.

The meeting also emphasised strengthening field-level monitoring and supervision to ensure effective implementation, timely completion and better delivery of government programmes across rural areas.
