Wave of Joy Sweeps Mayurbhanj to Malkangiri as Minister Surjya Banshi’s Generosity Shines

Bhubaneswar: The state’s Higher Education, Sports & Youth Affairs, and Odia Language Minister, Surjya Banshi Suraj, has brought a wave of happiness from Mayurbhanj to Malkangiri through his impactful governance in departments like literature and culture. His recent act of kindness has drawn widespread appreciation, as he approved block grants for over 770 employees who had long been deprived of these benefits.

These employees, including peons, lecturers, and other staff members across various colleges, had been excluded from block grant provisions for years. The minister’s decision has brought immense relief and joy to their families, fulfilling a longstanding demand that had been pending due to various reasons. Many of these employees were close to retirement and had been living with financial hardships.

Minister Surjya Banshi is being praised for treating everyone equally—just as the sun shares its light without discrimination. He has extended justice to every deserving individual, from the most remote corners of the state. His decision has turned years of frustration into hope and gratitude.

Previously, many would come to the department with complaints, but now the situation has reversed. Employees no longer need to travel to Bhubaneswar or knock on the doors of government offices. Now, applications can be submitted from home, and decisions are being taken promptly.

Acting on the minister’s direction, department officials like Secretary Arvind Agrawal and Director Kaliprasad Mahapatra have actively worked to resolve issues. The grievance cell remains open and responsive to the public. The department’s empathetic and proactive approach has set a new standard of governance.

Minister Surjya Banshi’s commitment is now being recognized not just for his love towards his own region, but for ensuring fair treatment across the state. His inclusive and just decisions have elevated the dignity and trust in the Higher Education Department across Odisha.
