Villagers’ Persistent Appeals Met as MLA Gauri Majhi Initiates Development Projects

Nabarangpur: Residents of Jharanaguda village under Amalabhata Gram Panchayat in Tentulikhunti block were surviving without electricity for years, relying on traditional oil lamps during the evenings to carry out their daily tasks. Despite repeatedly informing public representatives and officials, no solution had been found, according to the villagers.

They had been living without electric lighting and had approached various authorities over the years, but all efforts had gone in vain. Eventually, they placed their demand before the current MLA Gaurishankar Majhi. After hearing their concerns, the MLA visited the remote village by riding a motorcycle over a dangerous wooden bridge to assess the ground situation himself. He assured the villagers that electricity would be provided soon.

Today, fulfilling his promise, MLA Majhi officially inaugurated the electrification of the village, bringing light to the once-dark homes and finally meeting the villagers’ long-standing demand. The inauguration ceremony was attended by Executive Engineer Sushant Kumar Khatei, Junior Engineer Bharat Tanti, SDO J.S.N. Achari, Sachin Maharana, party workers, and local villagers. They expressed their gratitude to the MLA.

The successful fulfillment of this long-pending demand brought a wave of happiness among the villagers. Intellectuals of the area remarked that compared to the previous government, the current government is truly a “people’s government.”
