Cuttack, July 6 (UDN): Investigators probing the alleged suicide of Inspector-in-Charge (IIC) Beauty Mohanty have sent two seized mobile phones to the State Forensic Science Laboratory for detailed examination as part of the ongoing investigation.

According to police sources, the devices were recovered during the investigation and are expected to provide crucial digital evidence, including call records, messages, social media activity and other electronic data that may help reconstruct the events leading up to Mohanty’s death.

The forensic examination is aimed at identifying any communication, digital trail or other material relevant to the case. Officials said the findings would form an important part of the investigation and assist in establishing the circumstances surrounding the incident.

Police have already recorded statements from several persons associated with the case and are examining all available evidence. Investigators maintained that no angle has been ruled out and that the probe is being conducted in a fair, impartial and scientific manner.

Authorities have urged the public to refrain from speculation and assured that appropriate action will be taken based on the outcome of the forensic analysis and other evidence collected during the investigation.

The death of IIC Beauty Mohanty has drawn considerable public attention, with the investigation continuing under the supervision of senior police officials.
