Nandapur: A trial run of the OSRTC (Odisha State Road Transport Corporation) bus service between Nandapur and Bhanjanagar has been conducted. According to the driver and conductor, the bus departs from Nandapur at 3:40 PM and reaches Bhanjanagar by 6:00 AM the next day (Saturday morning). Similarly, the return journey starts from Bhanjanagar at 3:00 PM and reaches Nandapur by 6:00 AM on Sunday.
After a week-long trial run, the new bus service will be officially inaugurated, as informed by Nandapur BDO Durgaprasad Dora. The bus route passes through Chatua, Padua, Jolput to Jeypore, and Nandapur.
With the resumption of government bus services from Rayagada and Machkund to Cuttack, which were earlier discontinued, the people of the region are happy. If this bus service continues smoothly, residents of Nandapur block as well as people from Rayagada, Digapahandi, Brahmapur, Asika, and Bhanjanagar will greatly benefit.
