Raigha : Three tiger cubs of the species “Kalarapataria Bagh” have been found near the Odisha-Chhattisgarh border. According to available information, the cubs were spotted by villagers in the forested area near Junabani village, located at the foothills of Nahar Hill, just a few kilometers from the Raighar Panchayat Samiti boundary in Nabarangpur district.
Upon noticing the tiger cubs, the villagers promptly informed the Forest Department. In response, the department conducted a survey of the area and successfully located and secured the three cubs.
As there is a strong suspicion that the tigress may also be present nearby, the Forest Department has issued an alert and instructed locals to remain cautious. The continuous presence of tigers in the region has caused fear and concern among the villagers. In light of this, the local residents have demanded immediate action from the authorities to ensure their safety.
