Third Installment of Subhadra Scheme to Be Released on Raksha Bandhan

Bhubaneswar A meeting of the Subhadra Society’s Executive and Operations Committee was held today at the conference hall of Lokseba Bhawan under the chairmanship of Development Commissioner and Additional Chief Secretary Anu Garg.

In this meeting, the proposal for disbursement of the third installment of the Subhadra Scheme on the upcoming Raksha Bandhan (August 9) was approved. Additionally, the committee gave approval for the ongoing administrative and associated expenses related to the implementation of the scheme.

A presentation was also made regarding a study by the Indian Institute of Public Administration (IIPA), New Delhi, titled “Impact of Subhadra in Odisha Districts.” The presentation focused on how the Subhadra assistance is benefiting the targeted women, its usage, and the progress in digital financial inclusion.

As per previous decisions, a field survey will be conducted by Subhadra beneficiaries, particularly college-going girls, starting from the first week of July in collaboration with IIM Sambalpur. IIM Sambalpur will provide full support in terms of data collection, tools, training, and analysis for this survey.

The meeting emphasized the appropriate and efficient use of Subhadra assistance and the need to enhance the skills of beneficiaries. For this purpose, discussions were held with the Skill Development Department.

It was also decided that the utilization of Subhadra funds will be continuously monitored and reviewed to ensure maximum benefit for the intended recipients.
