Bhubaneswar: The Odisha School, College Teachers and Employees Coordination Committee has announced a protest on the upcoming Monday, demanding grants for aided schools and colleges, job security and pensions for all newly aided schools and colleges, and seniority benefits along with six national increments for contract teachers appointed between 2004 and 2013. A large gathering is expected at Lower PMG.
In a press conference on Saturday, the committee stated that their demands also include rectifying inconsistencies in grade pay, increasing the retirement age from 60 to 62 years, and providing justice to teachers who have worked for 25 to 30 years without any salary.
The press conference was attended by leaders such as Abadak Ranjan Kumar Dash, President Sukanta Kumar Behera, Akshaya Kumar Mishra, and Bikram Kumar Das.
