Koraput: A meeting of the newly formed committee of the Indian Journalists Union (IJU) in Koraput district was held today at the conference hall of Alisan Hotel, Koraput. The meeting was attended by journalists from 14 blocks of the district.
During the meeting, the new committee of the Indian Journalists Union (Odisha) and the Odisha Working Journalists Association for Koraput district was elected. The election meeting was presided over by the newly elected District President, Tapan Hial.
State General Secretary Niranjan Bishwal attended as the chief guest, while Rabin Chandra Takri was present as the distinguished guest. Dr. Trilochan Khuntia, District President of Cuttack, participated as an observer, along with State Committee Member Abhishek Singh.
Tapan Kumar Hial was elected as the new District President, Surendra Khosla as the District Secretary, and Mangala Golari was also announced in a key position.
Additionally, Radhakrishna Mohapatra was elected as Vice President, Jagendra Singh as General Secretary, and a journalist was chosen as the Treasurer.
