State-Level Jayadeva Jayanti Celebrated with Grandeur in Cuttack, Honouring the Legacy of Poet Jayadeva

Cuttack, April 25: The state-level Jayadeva Jayanti, commemorating the renowned poet Jayadeva, the author of the Gita Govinda and a devoted follower of Lord Jagannath, was आयोजित at Sriramchandra Bhavan.
The event was presided over by Parishad President and Ayurvedic researcher Dr. Dinabandhu Maharana. Among the distinguished guests were spiritual गुरु Srimad Swami Brahmananda Saraswati, Justice Dr. Durgaprasanna Choudhury, Additional Director General of PIB Akhila Kumar Mishra, President of the Board of Secondary Education Odisha Srikanta Tarai, Samaya Editor-in-Chief Gurukalyan Mahapatra, Nitya Nutan Editor Dr. Prabodh Kumar Mishra, Utkal Sahitya Samaj General Secretary Rajib Sadangi, and Dr. Minati Maharana.
They highlighted the literary works and life of Jayadeva. On this occasion, a discussion session was held, and the state-level souvenir “Jayadeva Lahari–2026” was unveiled.
The celebration also included the presentation of the Jayadeva Samman awards to several eminent personalities, a poets’ meet, debate competitions, recitations of the Gita, performances of the Dashavatara dance, as well as health and yoga programs.
Notable attendees included Dr. Dibyajyoti Maharana, Prof. Ashok Kumar Panda, Ajit Kumar Mahapatra, Dr. Pragati Sahu, educationist Gobardhan Sahu, Kishore Chandra Pradhan, educationist Dhirendra Nayak, and Sagarika Jena, among others.
