Bhubaneswar, June 18: On the occasion of the Somnath Swabhiman Parva, the Somnath Yatra commenced today from the sacred land of Lord Lingaraj. The government has made all necessary arrangements and provided various facilities for nearly 1,200 devotees participating in the pilgrimage and darshan.
In the august presence of the Hon’ble Chief Minister of Odisha, Mohan Charan Majhi, the yatra was flagged off from the Ekamra Kshetra in Bhubaneswar. The Chief Minister felicitated the devotees, presenting them with the holy water of Bindusagar and sacred soil from the Kedar Gouri Temple, symbolizing Odisha’s rich cultural and spiritual heritage.
On this occasion, the Ekamra MLA, Babu Singh, was also present.
