Malkangiri, May 28: A 30-day mason training program was inaugurated at the State Bank Rural Self Employment Training Institute (RSETI), located near the Zilla Parishad office in Malkangiri, by Mr. Dasharath Sarabu, Chief Development Officer-cum-Executive Officer of the Malkangiri Zilla Parishad.
Mr. Sarabu stated that there is a shortage of skilled masons in Malkangiri district for the construction of houses, roads, Indira Awas houses, and other infrastructure works. He expressed that local youth can become self-employed and financially independent through such training programs.
Mr. Jati Ranjan Behera, Director of the State Bank Rural Training Institute, was also present and discussed the significance, benefits, and the government and bank assistance available under the program.
A total of 32 youths from Mathili block of Malkangiri district are participating in this training program.
The program is being conducted by trainers Mr. Bipin Bihari Satpathy and Raj Sekhar Pattnaik, with assistance from Sanjay Nayak, Pramod Sahu, and T. Monoj Kumar.
Intellectuals and social workers have appreciated the institute for providing such valuable skill training programs for unemployed youth.
