Bhubaneswar,Apr25(BNP): With the announcement of summer vacation in Odisha and the continuation of online classes, the Odisha State Commission for Protection of Child Rights has initiated a comprehensive workshop in collaboration with District Education Officers (DEOs) from across the state. The initiative aims to ensure the safety and well-being of children in the digital learning environment.
The workshop focuses on safeguarding students from cyber threats and preventing them from becoming victims of online crimes during virtual classes. Officials emphasized the need for increased awareness about digital safety, responsible internet usage, and the protection of children’s rights in online spaces.
As part of the initiative, a structured roadmap is being developed to guide students, parents, and educators on safe and appropriate online practices. The framework will outline recommended digital content for students while identifying harmful or inappropriate material to be avoided during online learning.
Experts at the workshop highlighted the importance of cyber awareness, parental supervision, and institutional responsibility in creating a secure virtual learning ecosystem. The initiative is expected to strengthen digital literacy and ensure uninterrupted, safe education for children across Odisha during the summer break.
