Umerkote: A bear was found lying in a field near the forest around 8 AM. Upon spotting the bear, the villagers informed the forest department. The forest officials promptly arrived at the scene and monitored the bear to ensure that it did not get injured or cause harm to anyone.
This incident took place near the village of Kabashabhata under the Umerkote block in Nabarangpur district. According to reports, two individuals from Nayakguda village had gone to the forest to collect firewood two days earlier when they were attacked by a bear, resulting in the loss of their eyesight.
Today around 8 AM, a bear was found lying unconscious near the same forest, seemingly under the influence of intoxication. After waiting for a long time without any response from the bear, the forest officials sought assistance from the Nabarangpur rescue team.
