Bhubaneswar: On the upcoming 10th of February, National Deworming Day will be observed in 24 districts: Angul, Boudh, Balasore, Bhadrak, Bargarh, Deogarh, Dhenkanal, Ganjam, Gajapati, Jharsuguda, Jajpur, Jagatsinghpur, Khordha, Keonjhar, Koraput, Kendrapara, Malkangiri, Mayurbhanj, Nabarangpur, Nuapada, Puri, Sambalpur, Subarnapur, and Sundargarh.
In these districts, all children aged 1–19 years and women of reproductive age (20–24 years) will be administered deworming tablets.
In addition, in 6 other districts (Balangir, Cuttack, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Nayagarh, and Rayagada), under the Lymphatic Filariasis Mass Drug Administration Program, all individuals aged 2 years and above will be given deworming tablets along with DEC tablets. Children aged 1–2 years will be given only deworming tablets.
