Renowned Dhoodra Mandei Festival Set to Begin on March 22

 Umerkote: A meeting was held today to organize the famous Maa Inglajini Yatra and Dhoodra Mandei Yatra in Nabarangpur district. The meeting, held at Dhoodra Mandei Padia, finalized the decision that the festival will commence on March 22 and conclude on March 26.

A committee was formed to manage the festival, with Mangala Majhi presiding over the meeting. Gajendra Bhatra was nominated as the committee president, along with other members. Additionally, senior citizens from Dhoodra and nearby villages were nominated as members of the advisory board.

Like every year, businessmen from Odisha, Andhra Pradesh, and Chhattisgarh will arrive to set up stalls and trade at the festival. Approximately 5,000 people are expected to gather at the event. To ensure law and order, the Umerkote police have been requested to provide full cooperation.

The meeting was attended by local priests, community leaders, village elders, ward members, and respected citizens.
