Cuttack, June 5: A literary meeting and poetry recital were organized by Prachi Sahitya Samaj at the Sahitya Bhavan of Utkal Sahitya Samaj under the convenorship of Dr. Narayan Rina Mohanty.
The meeting was presided over by Professor Mandakini Das, President of the Prachi organization, who highlighted the role of literature in nation-building.
Dr. Sachindra Raul attended as the chief guest, while Dr. Tarun Kumar Sahu joined as the keynote speaker. Dr. Dipak Kumar Dash introduced the guests. Dr. Nirod Kumar Mantri coordinated the event, and Professor Snehalata Sahu delivered the welcome address.
During the event, the special summer edition of the Prachi magazine and a poetry book by Meneka Rani Chaini were officially unveiled.
The poetry recital session was coordinated by poet Prasanna Kumar Swain, popularly known as the “Poet of the Daughter of the Soil,” where many poets and poetesses recited their poems.
Students from various colleges participated in the literary gathering.
Professor Labangalata Bishoi assumed responsibility as President of Cuttack Prachi Sahitya Samaj, while Ashwini Kumar Sethi took charge as Secretary.
Dr. Bibhudatta Khandayataray, Dr. Saroj Raj Dash, Debesh Ranjan Chaini, Pritish Nayak, Abinash Das, and Rajendra Barik extended their cooperation in organizing the event.
The program concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Dr. Dwipayan Pattnaik.
