Bhubaneswar: Currently, Odisha is experiencing an unbearable heatwave, and electricity distribution companies are cutting power for hours under the pretext of maintenance, which is causing significant inconvenience to the general public. The risk of heatstroke is increasing due to the rising temperatures. The Odisha government had announced that power cuts would not be implemented during the summer season; however, the electricity distribution companies, responsible for power supply, are not adhering to the government’s directives. The government is planning to bring an independent policy to address this issue.
