“Poshan Bhi Padhai Bhi” Program Organized in Jeypore to Promote Nutrition and Early Childhood Education

Jeypore, April. 25:  A three-day training program titled “Poshan Bhi Padhai Bhi” was organized by the Women and Child Development Department at the Panchayat Samiti Hall of Narayanpatna block in Koraput district. The program was aimed at training Anganwadi workers.
The event was attended by Block Chairman Goladi Trinath as the chief guest, along with BDO Bikram Kumar Dora, CDPO Anandini Mohanty, IIC Mamata Panda, and CRC Nagamani, among other supervisors and Anganwadi workers.
The training focused on improving the skills of Anganwadi workers to provide quality education and better nutrition to children. The Block Chairman emphasized that such training would enhance their capabilities in achieving better nutritional outcomes.
He also highlighted the importance of child-friendly learning environments in Anganwadi centres, including educational toys, teaching materials, and improved infrastructure.
Additionally, two national Early Childhood Care and Education (ECCE) curriculum frameworks—Navchetana for children below 3 years and Aadharshila for children aged 3 to 6 years—were discussed as part of the program.
